WoWPixel is an AI-powered image editing tool that lets you upscale, enhance, remove backgrounds, apply filters, resize, and edit images using AI — all in your browser, with no software to install.

Basic tools (filters, adjustments, transforms, resize, compress, and convert) are available without an account. AI-powered features like background removal, upscaling to high resolutions, and AI Edit require an account and credits.

You can upload JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF files. Edited images can be downloaded as PNG (for images with transparency) or JPEG.

Credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features. Each operation has a fixed credit cost:

• Background removal (AI) — 5 credits
• High-quality resize to 2K–8K — free
• AI upscaling 4x — 3 credits
• AI Edit / Modify image — 5 credits
• AI Create (generate from text) — 3 credits

Basic edits (filters, resize, compress, convert) are always free and never cost credits.

Credits do not expire while the Service is available. Once purchased, your credits stay in your account until you use them - there is no time limit and no subscription required to keep them.

No. All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits are consumed immediately when an AI operation is performed, regardless of whether you are satisfied with the result.

The free credits added when you sign up are promotional. They have no cash value and are never refundable. If a refund is ever issued, it is calculated on purchased credits only.

We recommend starting with the Starter pack to try the features before purchasing a larger bundle.

WoWPixel uses a one-time credit purchase model — there is no recurring subscription to cancel. You simply buy credits when you need them and use them at your own pace.

Because there is no subscription, there is nothing to cancel. Unused credits stay in your account and do not expire while the Service is available.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay where available.

WoWPixel offers multiple background removal methods:

• Standard (U2Net) — fast, good quality, free
• AI (Replicate) — highest quality using cloud AI models, costs credits
• Simple — color-based, best for solid backgrounds, free

The result is a PNG image with a transparent background that you can download and use anywhere.

AI Edit uses Google Gemini to modify or generate images from text prompts. There are two modes:

• Edit Image — describe changes to your current image (e.g. "make it look like a painting", "change the background to a beach")
• Create New — generate a brand new image from a text description (e.g. "a sunset over mountains")

Upload your image, then open the Upscale tab in the editor. Choose a target resolution from 2K up to 8K. The app will enlarge your image while preserving quality. Higher resolutions consume more credits when AI upscaling is enabled.

Click the Download button in the top bar at any time. Images with transparency are saved as PNG; all others are saved as high-quality JPEG.

Images are processed in memory and are not permanently stored on our servers. They may be temporarily held during processing but are discarded once the operation completes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

To request account deletion, please contact us at [email protected]. We will delete your account and any associated data within 30 days.

Note: any unused credits will be forfeited upon account deletion and cannot be refunded.
